Kedarnath: wonderful, unbelievable, unimaginable.

Kedarnath - Gautam Singh

By the way, entire Uttarakhand is called Dev Bhoom. Uttarakhand's Hindu culture is an important place in religion and religion. There are many proven pilgrimages such as Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath. There are crores of Lord Shiva temples all over the world, but the Panch Kedars in Uttarakhand are paramount. Lord Shiva had set up five limbs, five different places in his Mahishroo Avatar. Those who are called Kedaratha Peeth, besides four other benches, are known as punch Kedar. In this article, we will only talk about Kedarnath and Panch Kedar. Other things will be discussed later in the second article. All the photos given in this article have been taken by me when I went on a trip to Kedarnath. The photo which is not mine I have written in front of where the photo is taken from.

The holy temple of Kedarnath

The temple mountain of Shri Kedarnath ji is located on the top of the Kedar of the Himalayas. The Holy Deity of God Badri Vishal is located on the ultimate sanctuary of the Alaknanda river flowing east and west of this peak, and in the west, Lord Shree Kedarnath is situated on the banks of the river Sunil Mandakini. The holy congregations of both the Alaknanda and the Mandakini are in Rudraprayag and from there it becomes a stream and then reunites in Bhagirathi in Devprayag and after this it is known as Ganga.

Ice in the Himalayan peaks behind temple

The best workmanship has been done in this temple. A wooden umbrella built in pillars over the temple has been built, on which copper has been copied. The shrine of the temple is also of copper, but gold is polished on it. Kedarnath's self-reliance in the womb of the temple is Jyotirlinga, which is of unmarked stone. This lingamurthy is four cubits long and one and a half feet thick, which looks like the back of the buffalo.Around it, there is a narrow revolution, in which devotees perform Pradakshina. In front of this Jyothirling, water, flower, bell sheet, etc. is given to the ballpoint paper and in the second part the passengers wear the ghee. Devotees also meet this lingam with God in their arms. Nandi Ji is sitting outside the temple.

The temple of Lord Shri Kedareshwar Jyotirlinga is the beauty of a picturesque nature, the vermillion of its demand. Below the mandrakini tomorrow and tomorrow, the white sheets of snow on the mountains above, the moonlight of the moon that sits on the night, the melodious music of the bells of the temple, the voices of the Vedantranas and the intervening every and every Mahadev and 'Namah Shivaya The sound of 'Satya' in Rome-Rome makes it a real experience. In Gaurikund, the Himalaya Virgo Gauri used to do penance to get God Shankar in the form of a husband.Gauri, the harsh rule, was weakened and was distressed due to the cold. There, Lord Rudra had warmed the water after appearing in the form of fire, in which Gauri bathed. Even today the pilgrims bath in that hot tub and go for the visit of Shri Kedarnath.

Kedarnath is not a tourist destination

Kedarnath is located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. This place is located at Garhwal Himalaya at an elevation of 3584 meters above sea level. Kedarnath Temple is considered one of the best destinations (four dhams) of the Hindus, and the highest of the twelve Jyotirlingas is situated right here. The beautiful Mandakini river flows from the temple itself.

Gautam Singh.
Whenever you come here, remember this fact that Kedarnath is a religious place, not a tourist spot. Walking around here and having fun and not coming to spend their holidays, but came to drown in the stream of devotion. During the summers, a large crowd of tourists come to take blessings of Lord Shiva on this shrine. Well, this area is not a tourist site but a religious place. This is a pure land.People who come here never say that the holidays are going to spend or roam. Come here only to come and go to Ram in the worship of Bholenath. Come here as a child and come and consider yourself as Bhole Shiv Shankar.

Looking at the temple of Kedarnath, it seems that how it would have been made when it was made. The place where life is so difficult even today. Where the earth is covered with ice for 6 months, how will this temple be made in that time? Well, this place is completely in itself. The peace that is here to find peace is nothing else. Do not feel like coming back here. The mountains surrounded by snow, milk water flowing in the river Mankakini, Lord Bholenath in the temple, Jyotirlinga in the temple, Bholanatha, the earth here,
The climate here attracts all over the world. Every creature that comes here is left here.

The temple is about 6000 years old or how old it is. It is made of large stone slabs on a quadrangular base. On the steps leading towards the sanctum, the devotees get to see the inscriptions of the Pali language. Being located at an elevation of 3584 meters above sea level, it is the most difficult to reach here from all the four Dhams. The temple is open for only 6 months during summer. This pilgrimage remains closed during winter because during this time the climate here becomes adverse due to heavy snowfall in the region. Meanwhile, the native inhabitants of Kedarnath also go to the lower areas and the Goddess Kedarnath is handed over to the upbringing and the entire winter worship is the same. For 6 months, Lord BholaNath's philosophy can be done only in Ukhimath.

When the palanquin is taken from Kicharnath and from Kedarnath to Ukhimath, then there is a festival of celebration. Thousands of people dance to dance, play music Together there is a detachment of the Indian Army that runs along with playing music. It is a time when all people leave everything and only go to Ram.
Near the Kedarnath Temple is the samadhi of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. Shankaracharya was a famous Hindu saint. After the discovery of the four Dhamas at the age of 32, he took Samadhi at this place.

Sonprayag is 21 km ahead of Kedarnath. Prior to the 2013 disaster, this distance was only 19 kilometers. Vasuki Tal is another important place situated at a distance of 8 km from Kedarnath and at an elevation of 4135 meters above sea level. This lake is surrounded by the hills of the Himalayas, which make four moons in its beauty. The magnificent Chokhamba Peak is also located near this lake. Access to the Vasuki Pool is very difficult. To reach here, two glaciers, Elihi Chaturangi and Vasuki, have to cross, for which there is a need for endless stamina.

Founded in 1972, Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the valley of the Alaknanda River. This sanctuary is spread over a very large area. Dense trees of pine, oak, birch, bugle, and alpine are found here. Various types of plants and animals are found here due to the diverse geographical location of this place. Animals like cats, cats, gorillas, wolves, black bears, white leopards, saffron, tahr and parachra can be easily seen.Reservoir Kedarnath also preserves endangered organisms like musk deer. People interested in birds can see different types of birds like Flycatcher, Monal, Gray Leopard worblers. Monal is the national bird of Uttarakhand status.

Gaurikund situated at an altitude of 1982 m is a major attraction of Kedarnath. Here is an ancient temple dedicated to Hindu Goddess Parvati. According to folklore here, Goddess Parvati had done penance to get Lord Shiva in the form of a husband. In Garrick, there is a hot spring of water, which has not only medicinal properties of water. The journey of Kedarnath actually begins with Gaurkund. Kedarnath can be reached only after a steep climb of 16 kms from here. Earlier this distance was 14 kilometers. The entire walkway was flooded in the 2013 disaster. After that Nehru mountaineering institution created a new path. It is the same route from Gaurikund to Kedarnath till the road from Gokund to Rambara. But the half way which was from Kedarnath with Rambara was completely destroyed, which could not be made again. For this reason, the road was constructed from the other side of the river, which was 9 km instead of 7 km and the total distance increased from 14 km to 16 km.

How to Reach Kedarnath ?

kedarnath - Chauhan

The journey of Kedarnath truly begins with Haridwar or Rishikesh. Haridwar is connected by rail to all major and major cities of the country. You can come by train to Haridwar. If you want to go further than here, you can book a taxi or even go by bus. Sonprayag 235 kilometer from Haridwar and from Sonprayag to Gaurikund 5 kilometer, you can go by road to any type of car. You will have to walk a distance of 16 kms ahead of it, you can go from a sedan or a horse. The path is going to be very very steady.

From Haridwar or Rishikesh, take a 2-day journey from wherever you travel to Gaurikund. You make a night of rest in Srinagar (Garhwal) or Rudraprayag and the next day go to Gaurikund. If you go to Gaurikund in one day, then on this hill path you will get so tired that in the unfavorable weather ship the next day, you will feel a lot of difficulty in climbing Kedarnath from Gaurikund. It would be good that you take 2 days to believe that I have and I have experience too.

On the way to Haridwar, you will find many places where you can stay in the night. But in these places about halfway distance on Srinagar and Rudraprayag. If you want to stay in Guptakashi, and if you reach Guptakashi from Haridwar or Rishikesh on the first day, then there is no need to stay in Gaurikund the next day because Gaurikund is only one way from 1 to 1: 30 hours. You keep your luggage in the locker room at the hotel or guest house and leave Guptaakashi till 6am in the morning and start attacking Gaurikund by 8 o'clock. By the evening, visit Kedarnath and stay in Kedarnath at night. If you want to meet again in the morning and then come back to Gaurikund and then come back from Gaurikund with Guptakashi and stay at night.

If you stay in Srinagar or Rudprayag the first day, the next day you take all the goods together and reach Gaurikund and stay in Gaurikund at night. And then put the luggage in the locker room the next day and start climbing at 5 in the morning. Return to Kedarnath and then wait in the night or come back to Gaurikund. But I believe that if you go to Kedarnath, then pass the night on Bholenath's land on that land. One thing and after 11 hrs on the way from Gaurikund to Kedarnath, the weather gets spoiled, which remains bad till about 2 to 3 o'clock, and it does not happen every single day or two but every day.

To go by bus you must first go to Rudraprayag. There are two paths from Rudraprayag. One route goes to Kedarnath and the other is Badrinath. The bus meets Haridwar or Rishikesh, which goes through Devprayag, Rudraprayag and goes to Chamoli and goes from Chamoli to Gopeshwar. To reach Kedanath, it is necessary to reach Rudraprayag first. From Rudraprayag to Jeep or Bus Guptukashi or Direct Sonprayag. There is a second jeep from Sonprayag which goes to Gaurikund. The route of Kedarnath from Gaurkund to foot is on foot. From here you can go on foot, sail or horse.

It takes 4 days to reach Kedarnath from Haridwar and then back to Haridwar, and after 7 years of Kedarnath they go to Badrinath, it takes 7 days. Rishikesh is ahead in the mountains only. There are also vomiting of the logo on this path. The nearest airport to Kedarnath is 239 km from Jahli Grant Airport in Dehradun.

Best time to visit Kedarnath

The time between May to October is ideal for Kedarnath, because the weather is very pleasant during this time. Due to heavy snowfall the native inhabitants of Kedarnath also migrate to winter. Anyway these temples open only in summer. It opens in the first week of May and is open till mid-November.Every year there is a difference in the opening and closing of the temple for a few days as it is done for the furrow is done according to the Hindi calendar. The date of opening of the cupboard is Akshaya Tritiya and the closure date is around Deepawali. It is not good to go to the rainy season as the risk of land sliding increases and the road closes. Passengers are trapped here.

Temple Committee for Operations

The government of the state has set up temple committee for the operation of the temples of Shri Kedarnath and Shri Badrinath. The temples are operated through the temple committee and the responsibility for their income-expenditure and all types of arrangements is on the same. The temple committee has set dakshina (duty) for the common man to perform puja, bhog-raga, aarti etc. in the temples. The Raval (Brahmin) temple of South India is the chief priest of the temple. All employees of the temple are paid salaries by the committee.

Time of sight in the temple

The temple of Kedarnath ji opens to the general public at 7:00 p.m.
Special pooja is done from one to two in the afternoon and after that the temple is closed for relaxation.
The temple is opened again at 5 o'clock in the evening.
